Mayor-elect Tomko Announces Financial Review Committee
Edit January 2016: Members of this independent committee may be contacted via this email address.
As I had promised during the recent campaign for Mayor, one of my first orders of business would be to determine if areas existed where village government could be more cost effective in its operations and if additional revenue sources could be found. As a first step toward this goal I have appointed an independent committee to review the village’s books and operations and report back to both the residents and village government what their findings and recommendations are to improve the village’s operations and financial condition. This committee will be free to draw on the resources of Chagrin Falls and other advisors as is necessary. This committee is comprised of all volunteers and no tax dollars are being spent on this study. I would expect that their findings will be available early in 2016. Their report and recommendations will be publicly available in its entirety.
I wanted a committee that is composed of highly qualified and experienced individuals in managing successful operations. I also wanted a committee that represents all of the taxpayers of the village; businesses, property owners and residents. With Mayor Brick’s support, I have asked the committee to start work now and not wait until January
Accordingly, I have appointed the following people and a brief summary of their experience follows:

Jack Willharm. Jack is a lawyer and was a partner at Baker Hostetler prior to his retirement. Jack and his family are lifelong Village residents and he has served on the Village’s Board of Zoning Appeals and the Chagrin Falls School Board.
