Government Organization

The elected Village Government consists of a part-time Mayor and a seven member Village Council.The Mayor is elected to a four year term.  Council members are elected to a 2 year term.  All council members are up for election during the same cycle. To vote in an upcoming election, register through the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

The Village of Chagrin Falls employs a Chief Administrative Officer, who takes on much of the day to day management of the government, in collaboration with the elected Mayor.  Village Council meets twice each month, usually on the second and forth Monday evenings at 7:30 pm in Council Chambers at Village Hall.  All meetings are open to the public. Agendas for meetings are posted on the meeting calendar and on the Council webpage.

Committees, commissions and boards hold meetings to make recommendations to council on various parts of our local government.   Committees consist of three council members.  Commissions and Boards are made up of residents appointed by the Mayor and approved by Council.  In addition to these residents, a council member serves on each commission or board.  Information on each committee, commission or board,  as well as contact information for current members, is provided through the links below.
