Blossom Time 2020 Canceled
We have been informed by the Chagrin Valley Jaycees that the Blossom Time celebration for 2020 will be canceled for Memorial Day weekend. The Jaycees are monitoring the situation and will be evaluating any alternative options throughout the summer. The decision was made in an effort to keep our community members safe during this pandemic. The Village supports their decision as a correct and prudent one, putting health and safety first. Thank you to the Jaycees for your many years of dedication to this community. Traditions in the Chagrin Valley will thrive again with your continued support to charities and local business alike.
Monday Parade Canceled
Out of an abundance of caution, the American Legion has also canceled the Monday morning parade to Evergreen Cemetery. They plan to hold a modified ceremony at Evergreen Cemetery without seating, speeches or musical performances. Details are still a work in progress regarding this important remembrance ceremony while keeping everyone safe. Details will be shared as the information becomes available.
If you’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times, “It takes a Village”. During this unprecedented time of uncertainty and change, keep in mind that our community is strong and resilient. In time, the Village will resume with a familiar normalcy and continue traditions that we have grown to love and cherish. Stay strong and hopeful. It takes a Village, and a Village we will be!
