Safety Town Program 2020 Cancelled

After careful consideration, and discussions with various leaders in the Village, I have regretfully made the decision to cancel this year’s Safety Town Program.  Please be assured that the health and safety of your children was the number one factor in making this decision.

Despite the cancellation, providing basic safety lessons to our incoming kindergarten class remains a high priority for the members of our police department.  We are currently investigating what potential options may exist to present this important safety information in the coming school year.  We will be certain to push that information out to parents as it becomes available.

I appreciate your patience understanding, and wish all of your families a safe and healthy summer!

Harvest Chagrin Valley Collection Extended

The Chagrin Valley Fire Department is still collecting for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s annual Harvest for Hunger Campaign, they’ve extended their collection period until August 31st.

In these uncertain times the Food Bank is, and will continue, to do everything we can to provide everyone in our community with the nutritious food they need to stay healthy during the COVID-19 crisis – but we need your help to feed children, families, seniors, and other hard-working neighbors struggling with hunger.

If you still have the means and want to help us, please follow the link below.

If you wish to donate food, please contact Firefighter Jake Fried for coordination as we cannot accept visitors to the station at this time.  (216) 533-0135 or
