Architectural Board of Review – 180 Cleveland Street

Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 1109-05 Review and approval procedures (B)(1)(b) of the Codified Ordinances of Chagrin Falls that a meeting will be held by the Architectural Board of Review, of the Village of Chagrin Falls, Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 8:30 AM in the Council Chambers at Village Hall, 21 West Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

To hear an initial proposal: Residential mixed use development, one two family dwelling, and four single family dwellings. Project address is 180 Cleveland Street (property south of bridge) Permanent Parcel No. 931-17-003.

If you wish to comment on this proposed project, you are encouraged to do so at the hearing and prior to the Architectural Board of Review’s action on the requested proposal.  Please be advised there are limited circumstances for modification to a proposal once acted upon by the board.  The appropriate time to comment on the proposal is at the time of the scheduled meeting referenced above.

Snow & Ice Removal Reminders

SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL REMINDERS

The Village of Chagrin Falls would like to remind homeowners and business owners that, pursuant to Ordinance 543.02, it is your responsibility to remove snow and ice from the sidewalk in front of your property within two hours following a winter storm event, or two hours after sunrise.  Chagrin Falls is a pedestrian-friendly community and many people including school children use sidewalks to travel to and from work and school.  Please do your part to keep your sidewalk clear of snow and ice for pedestrians.  The Village of Chagrin Falls is only responsible for snow and ice removal on public property, such as in parks and in front of village buildings.

Also, property owners and private snow plow contractors are reminded, pursuant to Ordinance 543.04, that no snow or ice is to be shoveled or piled upon any street, alley, or public place.  Sidewalks are also included.  This causes a safety hazard for motorists and pedestrians and hampers the efforts of the Street Department to provide a safe and clear street for motorists.
