Overview

A 30-inch diameter storm sewer culvert runs under Locust Lane near the intersection with North Main Street.  This old corrugated metal culvert pipe conveys water from the stream that traverses a large part of the watershed on this street.  The culvert is in poor condition and in need of replacement.  To be done in conjunction with the stormwater study of the Willow/Locust/Lyndale watershed, lining of the existing 30-inch diameter culvert and the addition of a new 36-inch diameter polyethylene culvert pipe is planned for 2023.  The planning and engineering for this project is mostly complete, with work being done on needed easements at this time.  It is planned that this project will be advertised for public bids in the spring of 2023.
