Leaf Pick-up, October 19 thru November 30

The Village of Chagrin Falls Street Department will begin the annual leaf pick-up program.

Starting on Monday, October 19, 2020

  • Starting at south end of town working north
  • Pile leaves in long windrows within 4 feet of curb (as close to street as possible)
  • Do not block ditches
  • No leaves in the street
  • No branches, twigs, flower cuttings, etc (leaves only)
  • Weather dependent
  • Street department will make several rounds per year
  • Last week for pick-up is week of 11/30
  • After leaf pick-up, bag for regular refuse collection
  • No Spring leaf pick-up

Last day to place leaves at curb is Sunday, November 29th

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 1109.05 Review and Approval procedures (B) (1)(b) of the Codified Ordinances of Chagrin Falls that a meeting will be held by the Architectural Board of Review, of the Village of Chagrin Falls, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 8:30 AM in a virtual meeting via zoom. 

To hear an initial proposal:   Demolish an existing accessory structure.

If you wish to comment on this proposed project, join the meeting via the instructions below.  You are encouraged to do so at the hearing and prior to the Architectural Board of Review’s action on the requested proposal. Please be advised there are limited circumstances for modification to a proposal once acted upon by the board. The appropriate time to comment on the proposal is at the time of the scheduled meeting referenced above.

Public Hearing – Council – RiverHaus (10/14, 7:00 PM) CANCELLED



Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Council of the Village of Chagrin Falls, Ohio at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 utilizing the Zoom virtual meeting format pursuant to Section 1111.06 of the Planning and Zoning Code whereby Council has been petitioned by three council members to review the decision of the Board of Zoning Appeals in granting a variance request for a retaining wall by Brickhaus Partners for the RiverHaus proposed townhouse development on Cleveland Street.  The following variance from the Board of Zoning Appeals is the original action to be reviewed:

  1. Section 1148.07(c) Retaining Walls; Retaining walls shall be set back from any property line a minimum of three (3) feet plus one (1) foot for every foot of wall height greater than three (3) feet.  A variance of one (1) to six (6) feet was granted.  Note: The retaining wall varies in height.

In accordance with Sub. HB 197, this meeting will be held as a remote meeting.  No one will be in attendance at the Village Hall Council Chambers and the public is not permitted to access the Council Chambers during the meeting.  Access is available to the public only via telephone, YouTube, and through Zoom web conferencing.  Instructions on joining the meeting are listed here.
