Utility Bill Questions / Information

Dear Chagrin Falls Water Customer,

One of our goals with the new system is to provide bills reflecting usage for actual calendar quarters. This will also have the effect of making each quarter’s bill approximately equal in the number of days in the billing cycle.  With the previous system, the unequal number of days in each quarter’s bill lead to much confusion regarding why water usage had varied period to period. Switching to a calendar quarter billing system will require a transition from the old system to the new system with a fixed calendar quarter cutoff.

Accordingly, your October utility bill, will reflect approximately 4 and 1/2 months of water usage instead of the normal 3 months.  The October water bill will consist of usage from early to mid-May through September 30th.  This is a one-time occurrence necessary for the billing cycle’s conversion to a true calendar quarter billing system. While this October bill will reflect water usage over a longer period than was normal, you will only be charged for actual usage. If this transitional bill creates financial hardship, please contact Katie Knauff at 247-5050 to work out a payment plan for this extra time period.

Your January 2020 water bill will cover the period of water usage from October 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
