Road Closures Thanksgiving Morning For Turkey Trot

imageSections of both Bell Street and Washington Street will be closed to traffic Thanksgiving morning November 28th to accommodate the Turkey Trot 5K road race. The race starts at 10:00am from the Chagrin Falls High School, travels through S. Russell, and ends back at the high school. The majority of the 5k is in S. Russell, but Bell and E. Washington will both be shut down in Chagrin Falls until the race is over.

E. Washington will be closed to traffic at Cleveland St. Traffic heading east can detour via Bell Street to Walters Road. E. Washington St. traffic heading west will be detoured down Savage to Chagrin Road.

Bell St. will closed to traffic at Walters Road. All traffic will be routed down Walters and can follow the detour signs from there.

Persons travelling in to Chagrin can come in via Chagrin Rd., or they can come up Bell, follow the detour, and enter off of Walters. The race is expected to last one hour.

Open House At New Valley Dispatch Center December 5th


The Chagrin Falls Police Department invites residents to an Open House at the new location of the Chagrin Valley Dispatch Center.  The Open House will be on December 5th between 2 pm and 8 pm.  The new location of the dispatch center is 88 Center Street, Suite B100, Bedford, Ohio 44146.

E. Orange Street Closed To Traffic Thursday, Nov. 21st

Road ClosedE. Orange St. in Chagrin Falls will be closed to through traffic from about 8:00am until 6:00pm on Thursday, November 21st.

Residents, Business patrons, and persons who park in the E. Orange lot will still have access to those locations, but the road will be closed to through traffic at the North St./Mill St./E. Orange intersection, as well as at the N. Main/E.Orange intersection. Access to the public library will allowed.

Vehicles coming in to or leaving the Village can detour on E. Cottage St., E. Summit St., or Mill and Cleveland Streets.

Help Families In Need Through Shop With A Cop

shopwithcopThe Chagrin Falls Police Department, along with several local police agencies, will be participating in the annual Shop with a Cop program on Saturday, December 14th 2013.  Police personnel take families in need out for holiday shopping.  After the event, officers and families get together to enjoy a pizza party.
