Police & Fire Station Renovation – Bid deadline extended

The bid opening for the POLICE AND FIRE STATION RENOVATION PROJECT has been rescheduled for 12:00 NOON on FRIDAY, JUNE 8. Police & Fire Department Renovations – Bid Proposals


The Village of Chagrin Falls will receive sealed bid proposals delivered to the Office of the Clerk, Chagrin Falls Village Hall, 21 West Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022 until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for:

Police and Fire Department Renovations

and such bids will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter. Each bid must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the same, with an affidavit as to interested parties, and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio, and be accompanied by a bond, or a certified or cashier’s check on a solvent bank, made payable to the order of the VILLAGE OF CHAGRIN FALLS in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid.

Copies of the Public Bid Package including Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, Forms of Proposals, and the Building Bid Form and the Civil Bid Form are available on the Village website at or on file at the office of the Chief Administrative Officer of the Village of Chagrin Falls and may be obtained for fifty dollars ($50.00). Bid drawings are available for download at the link indicated below.

The bid bond, or a certified or cashier’s check, will be held as a guarantee that, if the bid proposal is accepted, a contact will be entered into between the bidder and the Village of Chagrin Falls, and the performance of such contract secured by said check or bond, and default thereof said check and/or bond, and the amount represented thereby, shall be forfeited to the Village of Chagrin Falls, as liquidated damages.

There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference at the Chagrin Falls Village Hall, 21 West Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, 44022 on THURSDAY, MAY 17, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.

The Village of Chagrin Falls reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which they deem most favorable.

Planning & Zoning Public Hearing – 218 Cleveland St


Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Village of Chagrin Falls at 7:00PM on Monday, May 21, 2018.  The Meeting will start first with a project site visit at 218 Cleveland Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, 44022, then reconvene at the Council Chambers of the Chagrin Falls Village Hall, 21 West Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio at the request of Brickhaus Partners for the following items relating to the property at 218 Cleveland Street, Permanent Parcel No. 931-17-003:

  1. 1130.04(a)(3) Area Regulations: Determine Reasonable Means of Ingress and Egress.
  2. 1130.09(c) Modifications to Area, Yard, and Buffer Requirements

Parking for the site visit at 218 Cleveland Street will be in the Low Street gravel Parking lot across the street.

Public Service Announcement

On Friday, May 4th 2018 there will be a Production Company in town filming.  The Village will have North Franklin Street blocked from 6am until 10am for the filming.  There will also be signs in the area “Bring Justin Home”.  Justin is just fine, no need for the public to panic.  The signs will be taken down after the filming is complete. We are hoping this does not cause too much disruption in the downtown area.  We are excited that Chagrin Falls has been chosen for this production.



Sealed bids will be received at the Chief Administrator’s Office, Village Hall, 21 West Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022 until 12:00 p.m. Noon on May 11, 2018 and will be opened and read immediately thereafter for the




Bids must be in accordance with specifications and on forms available from CT Consultants, Inc., 8150 Sterling Court, Mentor, Ohio 44060 at a non‑refundable cost of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) picked up or One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00) mailed.

The bid specifications, drawings, plan holders list, addenda, and other bid information may be obtained via the internet at .  The bidder shall be responsible to check for Addenda and obtain same from the web site.
